The name ‘Echo’ refersto the sequence of adjacent tubular frames, which give the visual impression ofa fading echo. The frames are connected at the top and bottom, so there is somespace between the vertical tube sections. This allows you to ‘see through thepiece’ from the sides, which gives it a very transparent and almost virtualpresence. The design is strikingly sculptural and contemporary, yet timeless, and the atypical use of tubular frames is a nod to modernist tubular furniture.Echo has a mirror on both sides, so it can be placed anywhere in the space, andalso gives a different user experience from either side.
Echo was designed forthe Belgian family business Deknudt Mirrors, which has been producinghigh-quality mirrors since 1946.
